The Velo Boutique Story
Velo Boutique Cycling Tours is the exciting cyclo tourism arm of Lekker Boutique Travel, with over 15 years of experience in the sector Velo Boutique offer fantastic cycling destination getaways for the avid cyclist as well as the more relaxed cycling tourist.
Velo Boutique was born out of passion. A passion for cycling, the mountains, the Ocean, fresh air and the romance of the Grand Tours. Hilton Freund the Velo Boutique founder, would much rather be on two wheels than four, would rather cycle than walk, would rather wear lycra than jeans, and to coin a phrase has spent the last 20 years of his life behind bars.
Whether it’s the Mountains, time trials, and prologues of the Tour de France and Giro d Italia, the desert sands of Israel or magnificent coastal roads of Southern Africa, Hilton has cycled his bike there.
It’s this passion and a belief that cycling should be an inclusive endeavour, not just a sport but a past time shared and enjoyed amongst friends that led to the birth of Velo Boutique Cycling Tours. Hilton loves the fact that whether you want to ride in the tracks of the cycling heroes, of today and yesteryear, or would prefer to enjoy a leisurely summer of red wine and energy bars, cycling offers exciting destinations that satisfy the soul.
Hilton has been building and creating bespoke cycling tours for cycling clubs, groups, couples and families for over 15 years and his desire to share his passion and experience along with his attention to detail are what make Velo Boutique an obvious choice.
When Hilton is not creating exciting challenging and not so challenging cycling adventures, he lives in London with his wife, two daughters and Staffordshire Terrier, who have a little space in his home between the bicycles.
