Talamanca Range Reserve – La Amistad International Park

A natural wonder, spans across San Jose, Cartago, Limon and Puntarenas. It has more than 10,000 plants, 600 birds, 250 species of reptiles and amphibians, 215 mammal species, and 115 kinds of freshwater fish which have been registered. Come and explore this wonder.

 

Pre-Columbian Chiefdom Settlements with Stone Spheres of the Diquís

These impressive spheres are a product of pre-Columbian indigenous peoples, their experiences, their work ethic, and their innovative thinking. It is believed that they were created using tools made of stone, and maybe tools made of wood. Let this settlement take you back in time.

 

The Guanacaste Conservation Area

Declared a World Heritage Site in 1999, this site includes the Santa Rosa, Guanacaste, Rincon de la Vieja National Park and the Junquillal Bay Wildlife Refuge. The most famous activity to do in this park is to explore the smooth cinder cone volcano of Rincon de la Vieja. Take a walk on the wild side.
